Best Brunch – Lift Breakfast Bakery, 101 Londsdale Ave
Lift run their own bakery, separate to the cafe. Using poato rosti instead of muffins for Eggs Benedict was a delicious innovation.
Best Bakery and Coffeeshop – PureBread, W Hasting St, Gas Town
Fantastic area of cakes and pastries – one in Whistler too, worth enduring skiing for.

Best Icecream – La Casa Gelato, Venables St
238 favours, including some interesting savoury flavours – I tried bacon and maple. All home produced and delicious, even i f the savoury ones are most unusual!
Best Doughnut in the most Picturesque Setting – Honeys, Deep Cove
A beautiful setting, a great hike followed by warm, just cooked doughnuts at Honey’s makes for a perfect afternoon
Fancy lunch at Deep Cove? – try Cafe Orso with great local beer
Best Brewery – Hearthstone Brewery, Mackay Road – try a flight of tasting beers with a great pizza

The Best Pasta – Orto Artisan Pasta, Mackay Road, NV
Run by a French couple this bakery by day ( Mad Dog Bakery) turns into a cosy Italian in the evenings. Fantastic tasting pasta.

Best Ramen – Kokoro Ramen, Victoria Drive, Gas Town
Every diner is great enthusiastically and definitely the best ramen! Try their Karaage for something a little different
